About Stacked Binder
Stacked Binder is a Malaysian trading-card reference and collector workspace. Search Pokémon and One Piece cards, compare market observations in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), track your collection and Want list, and discuss cards and sets with other collectors.
What you can do
- Find the right printing: search the catalogue by card name, set, collector number, printed identifier, or language.
- Understand the reference value: compare current MYR observations, variants, dated price history, and set-level rankings without converting foreign prices by hand.
- Organize what you own and want: start a collection, track copies and acquisition details, or save a card to your Want list for later.
- Talk with other collectors: use Community to share a pull, price observation, collecting plan, or a card you are trying to find.
Stacked Binder is a research, organization, and discussion tool. It is not a marketplace, grading service, or substitute for checking the condition and recent sales of a specific copy.
Methodology: how prices work
Every figure on this site is a selected third-party market observation for an ungraded, near-mint card or printing. English Pokémon prices primarily use TCGplayer market data; older Japanese Pokémon and One Piece prices use Scrydex reference observations. These are reference estimates, not offers, appraisals, confirmed Malaysian sales, or what a local shop will pay.
For the practical card-identification, condition and local-sale steps, read our guide to pricing Pokémon cards in Malaysia.
We record dated source-currency snapshots and convert to MYR at display time using that day's FX rate. Source observations may be in USD or JPY. We never store pre-converted prices, which keeps a card's value and currency movement separate (so a ringgit swing never looks like a price spike). On weekends and holidays the exchange rate carries forward from the last business day, the same way card-network FX works.
Sources & update schedule
- Card data & images: pokemontcg.io for the English Pokémon catalogue; TCGplayer product images via tcgcsv.com for current Japanese cards and promos; and Scrydex for the historical Japanese Pokémon archive and One Piece catalogue, including artwork variants.
- Market prices: TCGplayer market data, via pokemontcg.io for most English Pokémon sets and via the tcgcsv.com daily feed for newer mapped sets; Scrydex reference observations for promoted Japanese and One Piece sets.
- Exchange rates: European Central Bank reference rates via Frankfurter.
- Schedule: the main Pokémon feeds refresh nightly. Scrydex sets use a credit-bounded rolling refresh, with newly released expansions discovered separately. Every card page shows its actual snapshot date.
When a card has no price yet (very new sets, some promos), we show “no price data” rather than an estimate — we never fill gaps with made-up or third-party numbers. The headline value on a card page is its highest-priced regular variant; first-edition printings are listed in the variant table but not used as the headline, since their thin market would overstate the typical copy.
Community and public identity
Anyone can read Community. Participating requires an account and a separate public collector identity. Posts and replies show that identity's handle, display name, and chosen avatar — not the member's email or private account details. Members can report content, and moderation actions preserve the surrounding conversation where appropriate instead of silently removing its context.
Product announcements and catalogue updates are published by the site-owned @stackedbinder identity. It is separate from personal member and administrator profiles, so an official post is recognizable as site communication.
Who runs this
Stacked Binder is researched, written, and reviewed by Stacked Binder Editorial, an independent project. Guides show their publication date and the date they were last substantively reviewed — a year in a title means the guide was actually checked that year. Stacked Binder is not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Bandai, TCGplayer, or Scrydex.
