Privacy Policy
This is a plain-language summary of how Stacked Binder handles data.
What we collect
- Account details — if you create an account: your email, an optional display name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Google sign-in — if you use “Continue with Google”, Google shares your email address, name, and a stable Google account identifier with us, which we store to operate your account. We never see or store your Google password, and we request no other Google data (no contacts, files, or calendar). A Google sign-in that matches an existing account's email links to that account.
- Usage analytics — anonymous page views and searches, tied to a random visitor identifier stored in a cookie. If you're logged in, these may be associated with your account so we can improve the site.
- Free collection data — if you save cards without an account, the card IDs and quantities are stored against a separate random device token. The raw token stays in an httpOnly cookie; only its hash is stored in our database. The free device plan holds one collection with up to 100 unique cards. Signing in imports it and the Want list into your account, where you can use up to five collections with 200 unique cards each.
- Shared collections — sharing is off by default. If you explicitly create a private-by-link share, anyone with that unguessable link can see the collection's cards and current total until you disable it. We associate aggregate link views and sharing actions with the owning account for internal, administrator-only product analytics; the private link token is not retained in behaviour analytics.
- Messages — anything you send us via the contact form.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies: one to keep you logged in (session), one anonymous visitor identifier for analytics, and—only after you save something—a device token for your free collection. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
Your ten most recent search terms are kept only in this browser's local storage so you can repeat a lookup. They can be cleared directly from the search box.
How we use it
To operate your account, understand which cards and searches are popular, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
Your choices
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the contact page.
This summary may be updated as the product evolves; material changes will be reflected here.
