How to Read One Piece Card Numbers & Set Codes: OP, ST, EB, PRB

A One Piece card number such as OP01-001 has two useful parts: OP01 identifies the product family and set, while 001 identifies the base card inside it. The same number may appear with different artwork, so the code finds the card family; the image and treatment identify the exact collectible.

For searches, type the compact printed form—OP01-001, ST01-001 or EB01-001. Official product names may display the set with a hyphen, such as OP-01, but removing that presentation hyphen is normal when reading the full card number.

The main prefixes

These prefixes describe where the card identity belongs; they do not guarantee rarity or value. An ST card can have later promotional or alternate printings, and an OP card can have several parallels.

Reading OP01-001 step by step

Take Roronoa Zoro OP01-001:

• OP says the base card belongs to a main booster series;
• 01 points to Romance Dawn; and
• 001 is Zoro's base card number in that set.

Bandai's official card list shows both the ordinary and parallel artwork under the same OP01-001 number. The official comprehensive rules also treat cards with the same card number as the same card for deck-copy limits, even when the illustration differs. Collectors still need the exact artwork because parallel printings are separate physical collectibles with separate prices.

Why a suffix appears in some database IDs

You may see image references such as OP13-118A, OP13-118B or OP13-118C on Stacked Binder. The extra letter distinguishes catalogue variants in the data source. It may not be printed as part of the physical card number.

That distinction is useful for software: every image, collection entry and price can point to one stable collectible. When holding the card, use the printed number plus visual comparison rather than looking for the database suffix on the card.

Why set totals can look larger than the printed checklist

A product may advertise a base set total while the catalogue contains many more collectible rows. Romance Dawn has 121 base entries in the current set record but 260 catalogued collectibles once parallels and special treatments are included. That is not necessarily an import error—it is the difference between base card identities and collectible versions.

A reliable search routine

1. Enter the full printed code in search.
2. Confirm the set name and character.
3. Compare the artwork and treatment label.
4. Open the exact card page and check the reference-price date.
5. Add that precise version to your collection, or use the set checklist if you only need completion progress.

Names alone are weak identifiers. Luffy, Zoro, Nami and other characters appear in many products; a code removes most of that ambiguity immediately.
