A Pokémon set checklist should give you one dependable progress number: how many catalogued cards from that set you have ticked as owned. Stacked Binder adds the missing count and an approximate RM cost to complete, while the ordinary collection keeps exact cards and quantities.
The important caveat is that “master set” has no single collector definition. Some people mean every numbered card; others include reverse holos, stamped promos and every parallel. The current checklist covers one tick per catalogued card entry—it does not create a separate requirement for every price variant such as normal, holofoil and reverse holofoil.
Pitch Black as an example
Pitch Black contains 120 catalogued cards in Stacked Binder: the 84-card printed sequence plus secret and later-numbered cards represented in the catalogue. Starting its checklist gives a denominator of 120.

Ticking one of these cards records that catalogue entry as owned. If the card page carries several market variants under the same identity, the checklist still has one circle. Save the exact collectible in your collection when the finish and quantity matter.
Start the checklist
- Browse English Pokémon sets or Japanese Pokémon sets.
- Open the set page—for example, Pitch Black.
- Select Start checklist beneath the set header.
- Sign in or create a free account. The join flow remembers the selected set.
- Tap the circle on each card you own; use the image or name to inspect the card instead.
If you are already in Collections, choose New checklist and select a set there. Both entry points create the same one-set checklist, so there is no duplicate progress system.
Audit a binder without losing your place
The sticky control bar keeps progress visible as you scroll. Search narrows the current set, while All, Owned and Missing change the view without changing the data. This makes a physical audit straightforward:
- work page by page through the binder;
- tick the circle for each owned card;
- use Missing to create a trade or shopping pass; and
- use Owned to check whether a card has already been recorded.
Each tap saves automatically. Saved appears only after every queued change finishes. If the network fails, the failed changes stay visible with Retry rather than being covered by a later success.
What counts as complete?
On Stacked Binder, the set is complete when all eligible catalogue cards in that checklist are ticked. The completion message is a statement about this denominator—not a universal claim that you own every reverse holo, error, staff stamp or regional promo a collector might include in a personal master-set definition.
Before starting, write down your own project rule:
- numbered set: one of every numbered catalogue card;
- finish set: numbered set plus chosen foil/reverse finishes; or
- personal master set: your own explicit list of promos, parallels and extras.
Use the checklist for the numbered/catalogued base, then the exact-card collection for additional versions. That preserves a meaningful percentage without losing detail.
Reading the missing-cost estimate
The bar sums the latest available RM references for missing cards that have a price. When every missing card is priced, it reads approximately “RM… to complete.” If coverage is partial, it says how many priced cards contribute. Unpriced cards are not silently treated as free.
The estimate is not a cheapest-purchase plan. Condition, finish, postage and Malaysian availability can change the real amount. Use it to compare the scale of projects and identify which missing cards dominate the remaining reference value.
Common questions
Does the checklist include secret rares?
Yes when they are eligible catalogue card entries in the set. For Pitch Black, the checklist denominator is all 120 catalogued cards, not only the printed 84.
Does every reverse holo need another tick?
No. The current checklist does not create a separate checkbox for every price variant under the same card identity.
Can I use it for Japanese Pokémon sets?
Yes. Open a Japanese set from the Japanese sets index and start its checklist in the same way.
Can I change cards without entering an edit mode?
Yes. Tap the ownership circle directly. The image and card name remain links to the card page.
Is the RM completion figure a guaranteed buying cost?
